February 28, 1991, at the office of notary public Olaf Peretiatkowicz, Rudolf (father) and Roland (son) Stripp signed the founding act of Strimatex Sp. z o.o., which I have been honored to run since its inception. The beginning was difficult. Rudolf, the initiator of our company, died tragically in its first year of existence. The promised working capital did not come in, because the Stripp family had to take careof the succession issues and save the situation in the German headquarters. Three-digit inflation suppressed the investment optimism of Poles, and the suppliers did not want to talk to us sending us instead to their post-communist representatives. Dreams and passion were our only fuel. The first Strimatex price list consisted of 31 items...

10 years later we increased the capital, shortened the name Strimatex to Strima, I became a shareholder of the company. After another 2 years, we felt that our strategy and titanic work made sense. The first major breakthrough took place. We felt a large increase in the trust of customers who accepted our long-term strategy, based on reliability and good value for money. Manufacturers of the highest quality machines, devices and accessories, one by one, offered cooperation on terms that we could not even dream of before. Banks gave more than we needed, and awards and honors intertwined with exciting events. Art & Fashion Festival, Project Runway, Polish and World Championships in Ironing, Sewing Factory Live, Stitch Has No Nationality, Intermasz, Texprocess, H + H and the entire Technics Holidays cycle are just some of the events from many Strima marketing undertakings.
We have inspired partners in other countries with our development, thanks to which it was possible to create a Strima distribution group on the Poland - Czech Republic - Slovenia axis and to start cooperation with hundreds of business partners and thousands of end customers in 94 countries around the world.
In 2011, we introduced the Texi brand to the international market,
which turned out to be an excellent complement to our leading
brands Audaces, Battistella, Dayang, Janome, Oshima, Primula,
Schmetz, Spirit, Takatori, Zoje.
Until 2020, we were systematically developing our product portfolio
and group of customers. The pandemic, with tragic consequences
for many people and companies, was a difficult test for us, which
confirmed Strima’s resistance to fluctuations in investment moods.
The team survived this crisis in relatively good shape. Most of you
probably did not experience our human resources problems related
to the pandemic, as we have tried to ensure that mandatory and
voluntary quarantines disrupt our regular work as little as possible.
And here it is. We have 2021, the 30th anniversary of Strima company. I delayed the decision to organize the celebration of the 30th anniversary for the first half of the year in the hope that the pandemic would give up and we would be able to invite our friends, suppliers and customers to a great jubilee event, which we planned, as usual, with an uncompromising, artistic and emotional panache. However, today it is difficult to be sure that such an event will be possible at the scheduled time. That is why our birthday party will be held on September 4, in a group limited to employees, closest associates and our life partners.
