11-07-2023 International Artistic Project "From Creation to Things 2023"
The International Art Project "FROM CREATION TO THINGS 2023" took place for the fifth time, which we have the pleasure of co-creating with the Design Arts Studio of the WPA UAM in Kalisz under the direction of Prof. UAM Dr. Monika Kostrzewa.
The aim of the competition is to select and present the most interesting creations in clothing, taking into account the process of their creation. In this year's edition, in addition to the traditional competition, the accompanying event was an exhibition of artists, educators and their students from various art schools in Poland, Turkey and Ukraine.
The culmination of this project is a competition for students and graduates. This event is accompanied by a show of all the competition works. This always creates great excitement among the participants. Traditionally, Strima supports this project by rewarding the best works.
It happened so this time, too, and GRAND PRIX STRIMA 2023 and a voucher of 3000 PLN for equipping her first atelier was won by Ms Agata Jankowska, who presented not only great graphics, but also a classic little black dress in a modern edition. The winning design looked fantastic on the catwalk, and what particularly captured us was the quality of workmanship and attention to detail.
In addition, we awarded a special mention to Ms Michalina Pikusińska - Kaczmarek, who presented a very feminine and elegant collection.
Ms Michalina is an educator and was given the opportunity to organise a day-long workshop for her students in a unique place for sewing enthusiasts. At the Sewing Paradise in Poznan, which is equipped with state-of-the-art sewing and embroidery machines.
We congratulate all the participants and award winners in the other categories and wish them to develop their creativity and passion in the future.
