19-10-2012 Art & Fashion Festival 2012 - a Fine Romance

Fashion workshops, meetings with designers and personalities of the world of art, fashion movie review and sewing consultations. These were just some of the highlights of the 6th edition of Art & Fashion Festival, event where fashion and art get together, which was held on 9-21 October 2012 in Stary Browar in Poznan (Poland).

Art & Fashion Festival is now the most important fashion event in Poland. The leitmotiv of the 6th edition of the festival was title of song "A Fine Romance" performed by Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, from the film "Swing Time". AFF 2012 was a creative romance with art and fashion.

The central point of the whole event were fashion design, jewellery, photography, illustration, writing, video and sounds workshops. For young people, uniting their future with fashion, it was a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet authorities, present ideas to the public and take the first step to their own career.

Traditionally Strima took part in the festival. You could meet us on 9-18 October, at Fashion Design workshops leaded by Rafal Antos. This year we presented sewing romance of all time with a new line of machines Texi Ballet Line. Ballerina, Tutu and Pierrot with dance steps guided our guests through the world of sewing. Visitors were able to try out machines, sew, embroider, felt and decorate.
