21-05-2012 Kiss the Cook – sewing workshops and construction training in CAD Audaces

On the next edition of Strima workshops, Joanna Szczotka, designer and Audaces instructor, showed how to sew apron and make modeling and grading in CAD system. On Saturday, May 19th, in Strima Atelier Sewing Cafe in Lodz has happened a lot.

Under the supervision of designer, participants checked how easy and comfortable is designing with the modern computer-aided system. They learnt Audaces Pattern Design and Audaces Marker modules, and used them to prepare templates and model apron for their shapes.
During the workshops part participants plotted patterns and got acquainted with the method of forms tranfsering and materials cutting. With the use of ironing devices, multifunctional sewing machines and overlocks they sewn original aprons. At the end they used embroidery machines and specialized tools to decorate apron in favorite motifs.

Each participant left the workshops with the knowledge of fast and modern modeling, grading or making folds and with its own, one of a kind, apron.
