22-10-2011 Art&Fashion Festival 2011 - dose of fashion, art and inspiration

On 11-22 October 2011 Poznan became the Polish capital of fashion. All thanks to Art&Fashion Festival 50 50 - event where fashion and art get together - which was held for the fifth time in Stary Browar.

In program of the most important fashion event in Poland were, like every year, workshops, lectures, film screenings and shows. But there were also plenty of news and surprises. For the first time Fashion Video workshops was held. Guests of AFF Open University where among others founder of the cult brand Biba, legend of the fashion world Barbara Hulanicki and Nicholas Kirkwood - designer and creative director of Pollini brand.

Art & Fashion Festival is first of all workshop, during which young designers, photographers, fashion journalists, filmmakers and cartoonists fill spaces of the Stary Browar with creative atmosphere. The biggest emotions aroused Fashion Design workshops led by Krystof Stozyna and co-organized by Strima.

Traditionally Strima Sewing Consultations lasted throughout the festival. Everyone who wanted to start adventure with sewing machine had perfect opportunity. Our consultants also helped in the selection of machines and accessories, and shared their knowledge how to iron effectively and with pleasure.
During consultations and workshops Janome and Texi sewing machines, Schmetz needles and Texi ironing tables and steam stations were used.
