24-10-2011 Knowledge succeeds! – 9th Technics Celebration

There was plenty of reasons to participate in 9th Technics Celebration. For guests from clothing industry motivation have been trainings and seminars. Hobbyists were interested in sewing workshops and fashion fans in Strima Sewing Consultations which took place simultaneously, during the Vth edition of Art&Fashion Festival in Stary Browar in Poznan.
All this meant that during three days, from October 20th to 22th, 2011, Strima headquarters in Swadzim visited 772 guests from Poland and foreign countries.

This year’s Innovation and Technology Fair passed under exchange of experience. Special guest of fair was Horst Gruchow, head of technical department of Schmetz ServiceHouse, who conducted trainings on proper selection of machine needles. Roman Przybylski, a specialist in the field of industrial machinery, conducted courses from technical operation of lockstitch and overlock machines, based on the most popular Siruba machines (L918-M1-13 kpl. lockstitch machine and 757K-516M2-35 kpl. overlock machine). Clothing designer and technologist, Liliana Bednarek, prepared Audaces Academy - training of computer-aided design system. On effective ironing, both industrial and domestic, trained Andrzej Andrysiak - specialist and ironer with years of experience. Designer Magda Bojan together with Michal Kowalski conducted sewing workshops: pillow, clutch bag and dress. Those who failed to get to this workshops, each afternoon could attend workshops from clothing decoration - felting a beret was a major hit.

9th Technics Celebration is event presenting new technologies in the textile industry. Our guests had at their disposal a full range of machinery and equipment needed in professional sewing. Great interested aroused offer of binders and hemmers on special demand and professional sewing atelier equipped with modern and energy-saving Texi machines. Sewing enthusiasts could not tear them self from Janome FM725 felting machine on which workshop participants and textile school students create their works.
Queen of the premieres was unanimously Janome Memory Craft 12000 Horizon sewing and embroidering machine.

There were plenty of surprises. Saturday's training from shirt ironing so absorbs participants that turned into a 9th Tehnics Celebration miniature ironing championship. Every day first 33 guests received special gifts - pens from limited edition, prepared for the 20 Strima anniversary. There was no shortage of participants of daily quiz for fans of fashion and sewing.


Summary? Can not be shorter - knowledge succeeds!
