20-12-2010 The winner is the reindeer "Rogas"

The most beautiful Christmas tree is in Swadzim. Thanks to your decorations in Swadzim appeared a Christmas work of art. This year's, the third edition of the felt Christmas tree decoration, was a record - we received 133 works. We are truely excited about a regular increase in the level of incoming artistic works. Every edition caused jurors more problems with the choice of the best work. This year's jury debate was very tumultuous and exciting.

The final verdict was take only thanks to odd, seven-person jury. Result of the vote on the two highest rated works is 4:3. But we agreed on the principal case - in this year there are no losers, and all authors gave their best and deserve a big THANK YOU and even a small Christmas gift. Grand Prix is the only one, but many works is worth notice and distinction and because of that jury convinced (quite easy :) Chairman of Strima to fund additional prizes for all participants in our competition. In addition to the grand prize JANOME FM725, needle felting machine, to a special prize pool hit JANOME 415 multifunctional sewing machine, two sets of 29 color wool felting, a surprise award, 13 bottles of fine Portuguese wine, which is a traditional Christmas gift for Strima friends and also a STRIMA 2011 calendars for all authors of works.

We received shiny angels, cheerful snowmen, fragrant Christmas trees, Santa Clauses with bags full of gifts, fluffy pillows, patterned glass balls, felted chains, and even the stable of Bethlehem, the family of garden dwarfs and reindeer.
We also received works from schools - Stanislaw Staszic Group of Technical and Clothing Schools in Bialystok, School of Fine Arts in Jaroslaw, Comprehensive School of Fine Arts in Opole, John Paul II Therapy Workshops in Nowe Miasto, "mega-Art" Therapy Workshopa at the Polish Association of the Blinds, Debinka Elementary Public School No. 3 and Middle School in Poznan. We congratulate all directors and tutors the talented pupils.

Reindeer "Rogas" made the greatest impression on us. His authors are Agnieszka Czypicka and her daughter Justyna. Great, eminent, but tender and playful. Once it is in the hand makes great faces. Was brought to us with bags of presents on his back and bells in the neck. "Rogas" won for its authors Grand Prix - JANOME FM725 needle felting machine and title of Master of Felting Arts. Right after that, jumped on top of our Christmas tree, and only a beautiful angel, by Violette Dals, sat above, at the very top.

The votes of three juros, in the final vote, decided on the second place, "Dwarfs family". Magic and technically accurate work, which author Cecylia Paluch devoted much time and heart. It's hard to believe that one can felt with such precision. However, everyone can see that on our Christmas tree in Swadzim. The works will be presented on the tree during the Christmas and New Year. Talent of Ms. Cecylia and animously jury verdict requires to fund a special prize for second place. JANOME 415 sewing machine is going to Rzeszow. We hope to raise a smile similar to that of the dwarf's face at Ms. Cecylia face.

"Pippi Longstocking on a swing" by Aleksandra Mrozowicz captivate us. Cheerful redhead swinged very high - up to third place of our podium. As a reward for the wonderful, positive emotions, we reward her with set of combed wool felting in 29 colors (100g of each color). Maybe because of them, the next year's work of Pippi author will be a little fatter :)

For numerous works we thanks students of Comprehensive School of Fine Arts in Opole. We decided to reward them as well. We have for you a set of wool felt in 29 colors of 100 gram. We wish that work with this material will bring you much joy and help to win in next year.
We also thank the participants of the "mega-Art" Therapy Workshops at the Polish Association of the Blinds. For beautifully shiny felted-sequined balls we have for you a special prize - surprise (we will discuss and agree the details with Ms. Anna Zegzula - instructor).

We were given a single Grand Prix, but the level of works were so high that even after four awards we feel unsatisfied. Hence, these were 13 bottles of Portuguese fantastic Donzel Reserva 2005 wine, in unique, invented and patented by us boxes, which gifted can easily turn to the bird houses. This wine is part of our annual trip to the alphabetical world map of wine and a unique gift for people setting up the story of Strima. This year, to this group will join: Violette Dals for "Angel", Joanna Kawecki for the lovely ball, Mariola Suska "Socks with candy and gingerbread", Malgorzata Korzeniowska for "The golden string of beads", which beautifully charge our Christmas tree, Diana Szawlowska for "Pegasuses", Malgorzata Klimas for "St. Nicholas sleeping in a sleigh, accompanied by a cat ", Malgorzata Olejniczak for "Stable of Bethlehem", Michalina Suska for "Elf" with a wonderful teddy bear in his hand, Joanna Pietras for the ball which beauty and precision may envy the best glass decorations, Barbara Pieczynska for "Anielska Baletnica", Joanna Chromy fot the two charming teddy bear, Agnieszka Sadowska for a record number of submitted works and for "Birdy". We really liked the original, electrified "Nymph" by Inga Wanierowicz whose age does not entitle to receive our wine for friends. However, we are sending the adults prize for Ingas dad - Sebastian Wanierowicza and for Inga we give the opportunity to do good deeds and replace our boxes to bird house. Blessed with the gifts will understand everything right after receive them.

All prizes will send on Tuesday, December 21 in hopes of getting to their destination before Christmas.
