09-01-2003 The Eight Gala Show 2002

Idea - prof. Barbara Hanuszkiewicz - Studio Gala.
Place - Central Museum of Textiles in Lodz - director Norbert Zawisza.
Soloists - graduates of the Clothing and Fashion Cathedral of The Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Lodz.
Main award - 5.000 zl - from the president of Lodz - Mr Jerzy Kropiwnicki.
Our award for the best designer - an industrial lockstitch sewing machine - SIRUBA L818F-M1.

We started a new 2003 year with a great event. Young designers presented their ideas and possibilities. The show was very interesting, clothes highly extravagant - having not much in common with the street fashion. Among sophisticated (unfortunately not practical) creations we found and awarded a fantastic and humorous idea of the "SLAVE OF FASHION" brand.

Two authors duo (Ms Zdzislawa Swiniarska and Ms Agnieszka Morawiec) got our main award - SIRUBA lockstitch sewing machine. During the show's day we had a guest - representative of the SIRUBA (Taiwan) company. It was him, who gave the diploma to the winners, together with Mr Pawel Bronski.

During two shows (15:00 and 19:00) we gave out over 900 special tubes with our wall calendars. Each of them constitutes a source of indispensable information regarding the most important fair events in Europa (including their website links). We want to say Thank You to all, who let us give those presents.

We wish all graduates to realize this known idea: Choose the work you like and you won't have to work throughout your entire life.
