57 contestants have participated in the 2nd Ironing Championship of Poland, Strima Open 2008. Andrzej Najder won the elimination by ironing the blouse and the trousers within 07:10,81 minutes. He received 57 points out of 60. But after the final exciting finish Mariusz Wawrzynowicz (Ulitex Sp. z o.o. - Rakoniewice) was the winner. He ironed the blouse, trousers and jacket within 9:55,40 minutes and scored 58 points. The Strima Open 2008 Champion has received a cheque for 10.000 PLN. Second place was occupied by Andrzej Najder (Pol-Jack - Lodz) who won 5.000 PLN. Zofia Przybyszewska (Vector SA - Lubon) hold the third place and she took 3.000 PLN with her back home. 4th place was won by Monika Nowicka (5 a sec Polska Sp. z o.o. - Warszawa) and the final, 5th place was occupied by Beata Hoffa (Belief - Lubon). The contestants received diplomas and the companies from final 5, Certificates of Master Ironing. The prizes were founded by Strima Sp. z o.o.

PRESS Iron - Conqueror – The Journalists League

The unique event that accompanied The 2nd Ironing Championship was a Journalists League. The journalists won for PRESS Iron - Conqueror title and steam generator with iron Battistella Vaporbaby. 9 journalists participated in the contest. The winner was Elwira Trzcielinska from online portal Tutej.pl who ironed man’s shirt within 05:56,16 minutes and scored 58 points. Second place was occupied by Dariusz Zurek (Moda Forum), third - Katarzyna Burek (Spektrum).

We have organized the championship in the hope that employers in their entrepreneurial wisdom will accept this idea and the Iron Master will prove that any one of us can be a star, every man of good work. You can be an Artist in your job even if you are not a footballer, ski jumper or Formula 1 driver. The plan was realized in 100%. The authentic Artists of work and daily life were our guests on the stage.

The Championship took place as a part of 7th edition of the Strima Technics Celebration at Poznan International Fair during the TEX-STYLE Fair of Fabrics. We would like to thank all good souls of this event. The founder and event master was Paweł Bronski – the President of Management Strima Sp. z o.o., Championship Commissioner was Malgorzata Walczak (Strima Sp. z o.o.). The stand was built by SET company and sounded by Vera company. Mr. Slawek played the piano – his artistic pseudonym is the Piano, surname Sikora. Photos - Miroslaw Baryga. Camera - Michal Zakowski. The cloths were ironed on Battistella equipment. We also thank companies Model Plus Renata Chylewska (Bytow), Postep (Wronki) and Elka Andrzej Mazurkiewicz (Slupca) for providing us with cloths. Threads used for machines during 7. Technics Celebration – as usual – Amann company. The stand was served by Strima employees with help of students from Poznan Technical Clothing School under the name of Wladyslaw Reymont. Artistic and essential frames of our event were invented by Studjo Jola Zgola Agency. Overtime was not counted by Katarzyna Supa, marketing department Poznan International Fair.
