10-01-2008 Barbara Hanuszkiewicz - 13. Diploma Show

Elwira Horosz was the one, who charmed guests of the 13th gala with her diploma work titled "Coquetry" and won Strima Grand Prix. Our main award this year was computerized embroidery machine Janome Memory Craft 200E. It was completed with steam generator Battistella Vaporbaby Inox by Strima's chairman Mr. Pawel Bronski, who was bewitched with quality of the collection.
We awarded "Coquetry" collection for fullness and maturity of the diploma work – it was uniform, well designed, perfectly cut and carefully sewn. Other rivals fighting for the Strima Grand Prix were: this year high school graduate Joanna Palma with her fruity, funny and free creation, Sabina Mazurek with collection inspired by Alfons Mucha’s works. We liked also presentation of “Buffo, Buffalo, Bombast” collection, designed by Grzegorz Gonsior.
It was already 13th gala and 3rd international, thank to works of British participants from University of Brighton: Jemima Johnstone with her "She moves in her own way" and Faye McAnaney with "Effortless dress - conceptual wardrobe".
