19-11-2007 Strima for Stary Browar Art & Fashion Festival

From 19 till 22 of November 2007 you can find Strima in a place that appears hard to expect. As a proud partner of tailoring workshops, organized by Center of Trade, Art and Business Stary Browar in Poznan, we make accessible to their participants, young fashion designers, things that are indispensable for each creator: paper for patterns, scissors, pens and other accessories that allow to turn designs into pattern, Janome sewing machines, joining scraps of material into real shape of dress and Battistella ironing stations, making created shape excellent.

Workshops are part of Stary Browar Art & Fashion Festival and take place in the Passage 0 (also called chessboard) of Nowy Stary Browar. The leading person and quizmaster is Mrs. Monika Jakubiak, international designer, who lives and works in London. Everybody who will visit Stary Browar in days between 19 and 22 November will be able to follow, step by step, how the idea becomes real outfit. We also have something for those, who like to be distinguished. Everyday, especially for guests of Stary Browar, during the tailoring workshops, we decorate clothes by laser engraving or embroidery for free.

Practical application of laser is revolution in decorating and personalizing of clothes. The word "laser" starts being a great success among fashion designers and fashion engineers. It simplifies personalization of fashion and permits creating individual and unique products. In a couple of seconds it’s possible to precisely decolorize ordinary denim trousers by putting on them favorite motto or extraordinary image of owner’s idol. It is also possible to burn any drawing on leather without preparing special, expensive moulds. Original decorating of a button takes just some seconds.

Old, kind-hearted embroidery is known to everybody, but last years are a very generous time for this type of decorating. It can be found everywhere – on clothes, shoes, bags, handbags or any other place. Who will visit tailoring workshops, will be able to have it in a chosen place.

Be a designer of your own clothes. Think out a motto and we will engrave or embroider it on your trousers, blouse or another thing.
