15-01-2007 FRIDA?
Frida Kahlo was the inspiration for Renata's Rybakiezy-Czapla diploma work. She was highly honored by Chairman of STRIMA Sp. z o.o. Company. Aside from the prestige, the authoress received Janome memory craft 6600P professional machine. For designers, graduates of high clothing schools, this year's International Gala Show, organized by professor Barbara Hanuszkiewicz, was a journey around the World.
Renata Rybakiezy-Czapla was inspired by Mexican Frida, Renata Waliszewska - white Marocco, Agata Maslana - black Lowicz, Malgorzata Knopik – dukes' land kaleidoscope, Michalina Barzycka went for a designer's walk around Barcelona, Agnieszka Stala was traveling with a large bag throught Australia, Aleksandra Kubiak was inspired by the Indian goddess Mahadewi. Moreover, we were also fascinated with a very feminine collection by Anna Morawiec titled „Saturation”, Larysa Kleiman „Punk goes stripes”, Joanna Albinska „Light and shadow” and also Katarzyna Sulkowska „Around the felt”. The last collection's design virtues were amplified by a very dynamic and adroit presentation. Works of English designers were good as well. Emily Carne „Milkmaids” and colourful „My rubbish Project” Kimberley Howells. In the final we could see a very interesting and mature collection of Monika Onoszko, who graduated the Lodz ASP few years ago.
