In Japanese language JANOME (Ja-No-me) means "eye of a snake". In 1920 Japanese pioneer in sewing machines production Yosaku Ose invented metal bobbin, which replaced traditional shuttle system. The new desing of the metal bobbin resembled Japanese an eye of a snake, and from that became the JANOME name.
In 1979 JANOME company, using the modernest technology, produced the first in the World computerized sewing machine MEMORY 7. The construction of the machine was dynamically evaluating until it became high modern machine, known today as MEMORY CRAFT series. The MEMORY CRAFT is distinguished by a simple operating and precision in sewing and embroidery. The JANOME company is the top sewing machines producer, world-wide famous for it’s innovations.
